GANBAN-YOKU YOGA

Looking to escape the stresses and distractions of everyday life and allow yourself a moment to recharge and reconnect? Yin Yoga is a passive form of Yoga that targets the deeper connective tissues in the body. This therapeutic class incorporates longer, more mindful holds with an emphasis on the area between the navel and the knees (lower back, hips, and hamstrings. Benefits of a regular Yin practice can include increased mobility, better sleep, reduced stress, and improved body awareness.

 

Meet Deenah

 

Yoga was first introduced to Deenah in the early 90s. Her growing interest in yoga practice resulted in years of experimenting with different styles including Bikram, Moksha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Ashtanga. She holds a 500-hour teaching certification in Hatha Yoga and a 300-hour teaching certification in Yoga Therapy. Additionally, she hold certifications in Yin, Restorative, Kids’ Yoga, and Plyoga. She is a licensed Zumba fitness instructor, and is a current member of the Manitoba Fitness Council where she maintains certifications in Group Fitness and Yoga Fitness.
